// Dress Code

As a Christian school we want to reflect modesty and Godliness in everything we do. CCA does not want to be overly involved in dictating fashion and taste in manners of clothing and appearance. We do believe there is cause for concern if a student's appearance reflects an attitude of slothfulness or rebellion. Please make sure that students are dressed comfortably, weather appropriate, and in a manner that is not potentially distracting to themselves or others.

We have set up these particular guidelines to help you and your students:

1. No secular music performers, alcohol, or tobacco slogans should be worn on any article of clothing.

2. Pants should be pulled up with no underwear showing.

3. Shirts and dresses must have sleeves. Sleeveless shirts and dresses must have a light jacket or sweater covering. No bare midriffs or
    tight fitting clothing. Sleeves must be 3 finger widths from shoulder.

4. Shorts should be the length of fingertips when arms extend down at the side.

5. Skirt and dress hems should be 3 finger widths from the knee when standing. Shorts must be worn under skirts and dresses.

6. Shoes should cover the entire foot. Sneakers are highly recommended simply because of safety issues on the playground during recess and PE. Sneakers should be fully laced and tied at all times. No Heelys allowed. All students must wear socks with their shoes. Sandals, flip-flops, athletic slippers are not allowed on any school day.

7. Clothing should be in good repair.

8. Hair is to be in natural colors and styles, properly groomed and clean. Hair for guys should not go below the eyebrows, bottom of the ears or touch the collar. When an administrator or teacher asks a student to get a haircut, we expect that the student will comply within a week or less. Headwear is not to be worn inside at anytime.

9. Chapel dress code:

    Boys-- Solid navy pants, khakis, or shorts. A belt must be worn on the pants or shorts with belt loops. A collared shirt (polo style) no logos or designs allowed.

    Girls: Dresses or skirts. Tights or leggings may be worn under dresses during cold weather.

10. Jewelry: Small earrings and necklaces are acceptable for girls. Bracelets are unacceptable. Watches that do not pose a distraction are acceptable for boys and girls. Boys are not allowed to wear jewelry.

11. Visible tattoos, permanent or temporary, are not allowed.

12. Body piercing is not acceptable for boys or girls.
